RavensMeet is an annually hosted campout and gathering for friends, family, and members of the Ravenwood Tradition. Classes and rituals provide an opportunity for students and initiates to explore the common elements of our tradition while experiencing its diversity firsthand. Held on the serene and beautiful 50 acre grounds of Poplar Springs Land School in Summerville amidst the natural beauty of the North Georgia, amenities include:

 

  • Woodland campsites with fire rings
  • A five-acre lake with excellent fishing and boating
  • Ritual circle with standing stones
  • Secluded meditation areas
  • Outdoor shower house and portable toilets
  • Covered area with electricity for workshops, etc.

 


Originally hosted by Ravenwood Church & Seminary of Wicca, Inc., this event is carried on by the House of RavenStone. Last year’s theme, Myths, Mystery, and Magick of the Dark Moon, featured a web weaving ritual, communal quilt crafting, and numerous workshops and activities. This year’s gathering to be held Friday, June 3, 2011 through Sunday, June 5, 2011 will focus on the Being, Blossoming, & Becoming. Save the date as this family friendly event will build our ties and create long lasting memories for years to come.
