Be it known in celebration of
in honor of her passing through the veil
APRIL 23, 2000
Queen and Founder of Foxmoore in Maryland
Established 1978
We all of the Ravenwood church and seminary and its many leaders who
are continuing our traditional craft all give due reverence to the life
and works of this great lady who took up the sword of leadership within
the traditional teachings of Ravenwood on September 21, 1977, initiated
by her queen mother the Lady Sintana and assisted by the notable Lord
Cyprian from England. She left a valuable legacy of writings and teachings
to all her "foxes". Blessed be the treasured hours and the many life
experiences we all shared together ...and we shall meet and know again.
This story says much to us who knew her.
Once upon a time there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to
do his writing. He had a habit of walking the beach before he began
his work. One day as he walked the shore, he looked down the beach,
and saw human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself to think
of someone who would dance to the day so he began to walk faster to
catch up. As he got closer, he saw that it was a young woman and she
wasn't dancing, but instead she was reaching down to the shore, picking
up something and very gently tossing it into the ocean.
As he got closer he called out, "Good morning! What are you doing?"
The young woman paused, looked up and replied, "tossing starfish in
the ocean."
"I guess I should have asked why are you throwing starfish in the ocean?"
"The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don't help them back
to the sea they will die."
"But, young woman, don't you realize that there are miles and miles
of beach and starfish all along it. You can't possibly make a difference!"
The young woman listened politely, then bent down, picked up another
starfish an tossed it lovingly into the sea, past the breaking waves
and said "it made a difference for that one."
Blessed
be her time of love
and Sharing with us all!
